My goodness, what to say about the retreat. It was simply brilliant.

I had for some time felt an increasing anxiety related to the demands of my current role, work had become all consuming for my brain as it tried to navigate how to achieve what was needed in a complex environment with many competing demands. By Christmas last year I was spent. I wanted to hide from the world and I felt every ounce of compassion I had, had been used up. Something clearly need to change. The retreat helped me to refocus on what was important to me, by giving me the skills to better hear what my body has been telling me. Work hasn’t changed, however I am working on the way I respond to it. I now meditate at least twice a day, and between those times I practice being truly present. My energy has started to increase, albeit slowly, and I have started to sleep beyond 3.30 in the morning (YAY). I have learnt that I need to invest in myself. I still have some changes to make to better align my work life with my values (family, compassion, kindness), it is a work in progress. Thank you both for being part of my journey. (Thank you too to Michelle and the many volunteers, the food was delicious and nurturing).

May peace be with you both.
