The mindfulness mediation retreat was the perfect space to learn about and try out different tools and frameworks for meditation, in a welcoming and calming environment. I loved that it wasn’t too prescriptive or structured – each of us could make the weekend what we needed for our situation, and it didn’t matter whether you were a beginner or hoping to further develop an existing practice. Some important things ‘clicked’ for me during Dania and Michael’s presentations, and their non-religiously affiliated approach made the information very accessible. The weekend was a wonderful opportunity to slow down and rest, go on bush walks, take part in gentle yoga, be fed tasty healthy meals, enjoy a break from social interaction, and meditate as much as I wanted.
